A presente pesquisa terá como referencial teórico principal os pressupostos de ¹Mikhail Mikhailovich Bakhtin que definiu o termo “heteroglossia”, em seu ensaio “O discurso no Romance”, escrito em 1934 e publicado em “A Imaginação Dialógica ”, em 1981. M. Bakhtin, referindo-se à natureza dialógica da linguagem, afirma que “o romance é plurilinguistico, pluriestilístico e plurivocal”; as vozes que existem no discurso romanesco são sociais e históricas, dotadas de uma ideologia, que pode ou não coincidir com a do autor, mas são colocadas e orquestradas intencionalmente por ele. O plurilinguismo deve ser considerado pelo tradutor não só como parte do estilo do autor, mas como base do romance (...)

The present research will have as its main theoretical reference the assumptions of ¹Mikhail Mikhailovich Bakhtin who defined the term “heteroglossia”, in his essay “Discourse in Romance”, written in 1934 and published in “A Imaginação Dialógica”, in 1981. M. Bakhtin, referring to the dialogical nature of language, states that “the novel is plurilingual, pluristylistic and plurivocal”; the voices that exist in novelistic discourse are social and historical, endowed with an ideology, which may or may not coincide with that of the author, but they are placed and orchestrated intentionally by him.
